Competitive triathlete, Adoh Doherty, joins The GenZ Show to share his steps to turning his dream of being an Olympic athlete into reality. Adoh describes how being inspired to dream at age 11 to be a track and field star has led him to become a competitive triathlete for JP Elite & Team USA.
Becoming an Olympian has been a dream that Adoh has had for as long as he can remember. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, son of an Olympic trials competitor in track and field, Adoh had his sights set on the Olympics early. “Where do you see yourself?” his father asked him. Adoh, inspired by the responsibility to carry on the torch, didn’t miss a beat, “I want to do what you couldn’t; I want to be an Olympian.” His father promised we would do what he could to get him there. This dream allowed Adoh to focus on what he needed to accomplish to get there versus the circumstances of his environment.
